CBS TV Employee Offered 11-Year-Old Football Tickets For Sex

Man Offered 11-Year-Old Tickets For Sex
CBS Employee Wanted Sex For Dolphins Tickets
POSTED: 6:49 pm EDT October 1, 2007
UPDATED: 11:22 pm EDT October 1, 2007

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. — A CBS-TV employee is accused of soliciting sex from an 11-year-old girl in exchange for tickets to a Miami Dolphins football game, police said.
Daniel Barron, 56, was arrested and charged with solicitation to commit sexual battery on a child under the age of 12 Saturday.
Police said Barron, a CBS sports television producer, chatted on the Internet with an undercover detective who was posing as a father willing to let Barron have sex with his 11-year-old daughter as well as sleep nude with her in exchange for tickets to the Miami Dolphins football game Sunday.
According to a police report, Barron told the undercover officer that he was looking forward to meeting the daughter, allegedly telling the detective, “I will be very gentle with her.”
St. Lucie County Sheriff Ken Mascara said that Barron was arrested when he went to meet the people he thought would be the father and daughter in the parking lot of a Ft. Lauderdale hotel on Saturday.
“The first instant message was Saturday afternoon,” Mascara said. “The arrest took place that night with the assistance and participation of the Broward Sheriff’s Office, Fort Lauderdale Police Department and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Their work on this case was invaluable.”
According to a police report, after his arrest, Barron admitted to also using his CBS-owned computer to download and exchange child porn. He told police his computer could be found in a TV production truck located at Miami Dolphins Stadium, authorities said.
Detective Neil Spector with the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office started the investigation by posing as the father of the girl and chatting the first time with Barron, police said.
Barron is currently being held at the Broward County Jail on $75,000 bond.
Spector was critical in another Internet investigation last month when a Nevada couple tried to get who they thought was a 15-year-old girl to run away to Las Vegas to be the husband’s sex partner. Wesley Evans, 39, and Jennifer Evans, 33, were sentenced to 15 and 10 years in prison, respectively, after they were convicted of soliciting sex from a minor over the Internet.

Michael Vick May Be Connected to North Carolina Murder

Authorities probe Vick connection
MARCIE YOUNG
Staff Writer
Authorities say professional football player Michael Vick, who has pleaded guilty to dog-fighting charges, may be connected to a Catawba County man found murdered at his home in April.
Investigators at the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office have found paperwork that may link Vick to Roy Thomas Melton, a 38-year-old pit bull breeder who was shot to death, said Capt. Roy Brown.
Melton’s body was found April 16 at his home on South Beulah Road by a friend, and when authorities arrived at the trailer, they found 30 pitbulls, many of which were puppies. The dogs were euthanized.
For the past five months, Brown said, investigators have been reviewing paperwork from Melton’s home. Some of the names found in Melton’s documents, Brown said, are the same as names mentioned in an indictment against Vick.
Brown said he is not sure if the names mentioned are names of dogs or nicknames for other people.

Special conditions placed on Vick after positive marijuana test

Updated: September 26, 2007, 2:22 PM ET
A urine sample submitted by Michael Vick has tested positive for marijuana, and as a result he’ll have tighter restrictions on his freedom.
The test was taken on Sept. 13. Because of the positive test, federal court probation officer Patricia Locket-Ross, who is assigned to Vick, asked Judge Henry Hudson to place special conditions on Vick’s release, which include refraining from use or unlawful possession of a narcotic drug or other controlled substance.
Also, Vick must submit to any method of testing at any time.
Methods of testing could include urine testing, the wearing of a “sweat patch,” a remote alcohol testing system and/or any form of prohibited substance screening or testing.
Vick must also participate in a program of inpatient or outpatient substance therapy and mental health counseling if the pretrial services officer or supervising officer deem it appropriate.
Vick is also now restricted to his residence every day from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. or as directed by the pretrial services officer. The home confinement will include electronic monitoring.
Vick pleaded guilty in August to a federal dogfighting charge. He is set to be sentenced on Dec. 10.

Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo Has Orgy With 5 Hookers

Posted by wdporter on September 3, 2007

Ronaldo orgy with 5 hookers

By ALASTAIR TAYLORNEIL SYSON andGUY PATRICKSeptember 01, 2007
MANCHESTER United are to quiz star striker Cristiano Ronaldo after he invited hookers back to his home for a poolside orgy.
The five girls travelled 60 miles by taxi from Leeds to Ronaldo’s home on the outskirts of Manchester to party with the players, who were celebrating United’s first victory of the season against Spurs this week.
The girls spent around six hours romping with Ronaldo, his team-mate Anderson and several other men in the pool, Jacuzzi and changing rooms.
The girls took a series of photos inside the house on mobile phones — one even videoed and snapped Brazilian midfielder Anderson naked apart from a pair of boxer shorts.
The stars laid on booze for the party as they cavorted with the girls — leaping in and out of the pool in the early hours. Some of the girls went skinny-dipping.
The girls all work through McKenzies Escort agency based in Leeds.
Their web site brags: “McKenzies is the freshest and fastest-growing agency in the North, covering West Yorkshire, South Yorkshire and Greater Manchester. We pride ourself on running an honest and efficient escort service. Whether you want companionship in the privacy of your own home or hotel, or a business or pleasure trip away, McKenzies have the right companion for you. You will find all of our escorts to be beautiful, seductive, fun and accommodating.
Red Devils … Manchester United’s Old Trafford stadium
“At McKenzies we realise that privacy is of the utmost importance. When making a booking with us, any details you provide are kept in the strictest confidence and are only stored until the end of the booking.”
During the party hi-jinks on Sunday night and early Monday morningsome of the five girls dived in the pool naked, as they had no swimming gear.
Posh pad … hookers were invited to the home of Cristiano Ronaldo
During the evening the girls wandered freely through various parts of the house and had drinks in the garden.
The evening finally ended around 5am when one of the men told the girls to be quiet as Ronaldo was tired and he had gone to bed.
Big buy … Anderson
Manchester United paid an amazing £17million for Anderson this summer. Anderson said at the time: “I could not imagine I would ever get to work with a manager like Alex Ferguson but it has happened. Ever since I was a boy, I always wanted to play for Manchester United and now that dream has come true. I am very happy.”
Portuguese star Ronaldo, who is now worth at least £40million, won two awards last year as the Premiership’s Player of the Year.
He was falsely accused of rape by a prostitute after he had sex with her in his suite at London’s luxury Sanderson Hotel in 2005.
And he became a hate figure during last year’s World Cup when he was caught winking to his team-mates after helping get England striker Wayne Rooney sent off.

No. 5 Michigan Beats the Crap Out of Appalacian State…NOT

Posted by wdporter on September 2, 2007

Appalachian State Stuns No. 5 Michigan
Sep 1 04:25 PM US/EasternBy LARRY LAGEAP Sports Writer
ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) – What was supposed to be a tuneup turned into a stunner: Appalachian State 34, No. 5 Michigan 32. Julian Rauch’s 24-yard field goal with 26 seconds left put the Mountaineers ahead of the Wolverines and Corey Lynch’s blocked field goal in the final seconds sealed one of college football’s biggest upsets.
The two-time defending champions from former Division I-AA were ahead of the nation’s winningest program 28-14 late in the second quarter, then their storybook afternoon seemed to unravel late in the fourth quarter.
Mike Hart’s 54-yard run put the Wolverines ahead—for the first time since early in the second quarter—with 4:36 left.
One snap after the go-ahead touchdown, Brandent Englemon intercepted an errant pass, but the Wolverines couldn’t capitalize and had their first of two field goals blocked.
Appalachian State drove 69 yards without a timeout in 1:11 to set up the go-ahead kick, but it still wasn’t over.
Chad Henne threw a 46-yard pass to Mario Manningham, giving Michigan the ball at Appalachian State’s 20 with 6 seconds left.
Lynch blocked the kick and returned it to the other end of the field as the final seconds ticked off, and his teammates rushed across the field to pile on Lynch as the coaching staff and cheerleaders jumped with joy.
Appalachian State has won 15 straight games, the longest streak in the nation.
The Mountaineers are favored to win the Football Championship Subdivision—formerly known as Division I-AA—but they weren’t expected to put up much of a fight against a team picked to win the
Big Ten and contend for the national title.
Alas, that’s the beauty of college football.
No Division I-AA team had beaten a team ranked in The Associated Press poll from 1989-2006, and it’s unlikely that it happened after Division-I subdivisions were created in 1978.
Appalachian State’s win does seem to pass the one second-tier programs used to regard as their crowning achievement—The Citadel’s season- opening win in 1992 over Arkansas that led to the firing of Razorbacks coach Jack Crowe following the game.
Michigan coach Lloyd Carr will not get fired after this upset, but he might’ve wished he retired after last season when the Wolverines won 11 games and played in the
Rose Bowl.
Carr will likely second-guess a lot from the game, and the practices that led to it, and might regret going for 2-point conversions twice in the final 15-plus minutes.
After Appalachian State went ahead 31-20, Hart scored with 24 seconds left in the third quarter and the 2-point conversion failed as Carr tried to pull within a field goal. Following Hart’s late TD that put Michigan ahead by one, Carr couldn’t justify kicking the
extra point and backup running back Brandon Minor stumbled to the turf.
The Mountaineers improved to 7-36-1 against top-tier teams since 1978, beating a team other than
Wake Forest in such matchups for the first time.
Since beating Wake Forest in 2000, they had been respectable against strong programs, trailing LSU and JaMarcus Russell by two touchdowns entering the fourth quarter before losing 24-0 in 2005 and leading Auburn late in the third before losing by a TD in 1999.
But Appalachian State proved it belonged from start to finish, making up for a slight size disadvantage with more speed.
Quarterback Armanti Edwards threw for 227 yards, three scores and two interceptions while he kept Michigan guessing with enough skills running to have 62 yards rushing. Dexter Jackson caught three passes for 92 yards, and scored twice, including a 68-yard reception that tied the game early and provided a glimpse of what was coming over the next three hours.
Hart, who went almost two quarters without a carry because of an injury, ran for 188 yards and three touchdowns. Henne was 19-of-37 for 233 yards in a lackluster game that included a TD and an interception in Mountaineer territory.

Church Deacon, University of Oklahoma Fan Tears Scrotum Of University of Texas Fan In Bar Fight

Church Deacon, OU Fan Tears Scrotum Of UT Fan In Bar Fight
POSTED: 1:43 pm CDT August 24, 2007
UPDATED: 3:37 pm CDT August 24, 2007
OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — Aggravated assault charges have been filed against a church deacon and University of Oklahoma Sooners fan after officials say he grabbed a University of Texas fan between the legs during a scuffle in an Oklahoma bar.
A couple of months before the annual Red River Shootout between the Sooners and Longhorns, words were exchanged at Henry Hudson’s Pub between Allen Beckett, 53, and Brian Thomas. Witnesses said it was because Thomas was wearing a UT T-shirt.
Neither Thomas or Beckett chose to comment, but the police report described what happened to the victim, including graphic details about his injuries that included a torn scrotal sack with partially exposed testicles.
Beckett’s attorney, Billy Bock, said his client’s actions were in self-defense.
“Sure, he’s an OU fan. Not necessarily an overboard die-hard OU fan, but he certainly admits he said something in a joking fashion to the guy about his Texas T-shirt. The guy got offended. He said he was sorry,” said Bock.
Bock said the apology apparently wasn’t enough for the Texas fan and the man then approached his client. He said his client then grabbed the man in self-defense.
“The guy came over his other shoulder, and basically said, ‘I’m getting ready to kick your you-know-what.’ He said he felt threatened and he did what he thought he needed to do and grabbed him and left the bar,” said Bock.
Bock adds that his client isn’t a hardened criminal, but is a church deacon who makes his living as a government auditor who had gone to the bar that night for one reason — to play darts.

Texas Rangers Kick the Crap Out of the Baltimore Orioles 30-3

Texas Rangers Become First Team in 110 Years to Score 30 Runs
Wednesday, August 22, 2007
Foxnews.com

BALTIMORE — The Texas Rangers became the first team in 110 years to score 30 runs in a game, setting an American League record Wednesday in a 30-3 rout of the Baltimore Orioles.
Trailing 3-0 in the opener of a doubleheader, the Rangers scored five runs in the fourth inning, nine in the sixth, 10 in the eighth and six in the ninth.
It was the ninth time a major league team scored 30 runs, the first since Chicago set the major league record in a 36-7 rout of Louisville in a National League game on June 28, 1897, according to the Elias Sports Bureau.
Marlon Byrd and Travis Metcalf hit grand slams for the last-place Rangers. Jarrod Saltalamacchia and Ramon Vazquez, the bottom two batters in Texas‘ lineup, each homered twice and had seven RBIs.
David Murphy had five of the Rangers’ 29 hits, the most by a major league team since Milwaukee had 31 in a 22-2 victory over Toronto on Aug. 28, 1992, according to Elias.
Texas also set a team record for runs scored in a doubleheader — before the second game even started.
Hours after announcing manager Dave Trembley would return for the 2008 season, the Orioles absorbed the most lopsided loss in franchise history and set a team record for hits allowed in a game.
Saltalamacchia, a rookie who came in batting .179, went 4-for-6 with a walk and scored five runs.
Kason Gabbard (6-1) allowed three runs and seven hits over six innings. He is 2-1 in six starts since Texas acquired him from Boston on July 31.
Even with the one-sided score, there was a save. Wes Littleton earned his second career save and first this season by pitching three scoreless innings.
Texas erased a 3-0 deficit by batting around in a five-run fourth. A walk to Byrd and an infield hit by Jason Botts preceded a two-run single by Saltalamacchia. After a visit from pitching coach Leo Mazzone, Daniel Cabrera (9-13) gave up a go-ahead, three-run homer to Vazquez.
Texas made it 14-3 by scoring nine runs on 10 hits in the sixth. The 10 hits matched a club record for one inning and were three more than the Rangers totaled in their previous two games.
Cabrera left after serving up a home run to Saltalamacchia. Brian Burres yielded two singles and a walk before Byrd hit his third career slam. Saltalamacchia, Vazquez, Frank Catalanotto and Ian Kinsler added RBI singles.
Texas got seven hits in the eighth. Metcalf, called up from Triple-A Oklahoma earlier in the day, hit his first career slam and Saltalamacchia added a three-run shot.
Vazquez’s second homer highlighted a six-run ninth.

KETTERING, Ohio (AP) – As a young girl, Holley Mangold loved the contact of football and would even show off her bruises as a badge of honour.”I thought they were really cool,” she said. That toughness will be tested this year when the 17-year-old senior prepares for playing time at Alter High School in this Dayton suburb – helping anchor the offensive line, fending off girls-shouldn’t-play-football attitudes, and trying to emerge from the shadow of her brother, Nick, centre for the New York Jets and a former standout at Ohio State.”It’s really rough. I’m not going to lie about that,” she said of trying to make her own way in the jet wash of her brother’s accomplishments.Holley has the physical tools and strength. She weighs 315 pounds, bench presses 265 pounds and has squatted 525 pounds. How strong is she? She escaped serious injury in a recent head-on collision that demolished her truck by pushing the steering wheel away from her body as the crash occurred, leaving the steering wheel broken and crumpled.
